The Secret to the Best Cookies
I've grown up making the chocolate chip cookie recipe from the back of the Nestle chocolate chip bag. That's how my grandma does it, that's how my mom does- it's a tried and true recipe. However, they were never the perfect cookies. I could follow the recipe exactly or switch it up a little, but the actual baking process never seemed to go as planned. Unfortunately, inside the 375° F oven is right where I lose my control.
Enter Christmas time. The ultimate cookie baking season. You need good cookies- ones to impress your neighbors at the party, ones to get you a nice bonus when you give some to your boss. There's a lot riding on these cookies (who knew?).
Luckily, my grandma got my mom the best Christmas present and I was lucky enough to benefit from this. The Williams-Sonoma Goldtouch® Nonstick Cookie Sheet is the answer to all your prayers. A single sheet priced at $29.95 is a small price to pay for the perfect cookies and will practically pay for itself in the use you get out of it in addition to the many compliments and praise from your cookie critics!
After refrigerating the dough for 30 minutes, then balling
up the cookie dough to put on the sheet, the cookies came out thick and
magnificently rounded. There were no crunchy edges. Instead of melting out to a
bigger base, the cookies stayed compact. And not to mention the ease of
getting them off the cookie sheet! No crumb was lost on this truly nonstick
sheet. All it took was a tap of a plastic (don't use metal!) spatula and they
were on their way to a cooling rack.
I shared my amazing cookies with friends at a Star Wars
movie marathon and was complimented on my perfect ratio of chocolate chips. I
used the normal amount in the recipe, but let me tell you- the shape of the
cookies led chocolate chip on top of chocolate chip, not the thin, spread out,
"I can see the exact location of my chocolate chips" type of cookies
you get from prepackaged dough.
And so, I highly recommend this cookie sheet and you will
see for yourself the life changing cookie results!
