In the Spotlight

I was getting ready to run a few errands this late Saturday afternoon when I came across some of my favorite things of recent!

<Clean & Clear Products>

I just returned from four days at UDA Dance camp, which I attend every year with my high school dance team to prepare for the long season ahead and earn a bid to nationals (goal achieved!). One of their sponsors is Clean & Clear, so I have received sample products via UDA before. I absolutely loved their Moisturizing Gel from nationals and that lead me into their range of other products. You can imagine how pleased I was to see that they had free little goodie bags containing Morning Burst Facial Scrub and Night Relaxing Face Wash. I love that there are designated products for the AM and PM. And quite honestly, I look forward to washing my face just to use them. The fun colors don't hurt either!

Not the most flattering of pictures since I couldn't smile!
<Face Masks>

My favorite brand of face mask comes from Lush, an all natural beauty/hygiene brand, and is called Love Lettuce. Unfortunately, the closest store that carries the fresh face masks is a bit of ways away to run there for one little thing. So, I've branched and looked at Target. How could I have not thought of that before?! I found a clay mask that I absolutely adore. It gives you your classic green monster face and incredibly soft skin afterwards. Not to mention, it claims to "draw out impurities"-also a plus!

<Lower Lid Liner>

Lately, I've been adding a smudge of eyeliner or eye shadow to my lower lash line. It's something I avoided in the past, so as not to make my naturally squinty eyes look even darker and smaller. After some bold makeup trials as of late, I'm adding it to my routine for the time being! Keeping it to the outer corners assures the evasion of raccoon eyes. It doesn't hurt to have some eye shadow primer as well for it to remain in place.

<Lilly Pulitzer Agenda>

Along with all the other "preppy", organized girls out there I received my Lilly Agenda. Intended as a birthday gift from my aunt, I got it early so that I could start planning my senior year right away! Mine is the large agenda in the pattern "Hot Spot". I couldn't resist all the fun colors. For anyone debating whether to purchase a Lilly Agenda or not, I say "do it!" They're cute, functional, and you can't resist using it, so slacking off is never an issue. The quality is fantastic- they can definitely hold up over their year and a half time allotment.

<Pretty Please Nail Polish>

Exciting news: I won one of my favorite blog's giveaways! Lucky Day Blog, created by Shelby Revis, collaborated with Pretty Please Nail Polish to put the name "Lucky Day" to a gold glitter nail polish for one of her followers. And that was me! I'm still astounded that I actually won anything. And so grateful for both of them! Funny thing, I actually needed a gold nail polish and glitter makes everything better, so…voila! The quality is great, especially since most glitter polishes I've experienced are chunky and don't go on smoothly.

<The Fault in Our Stars Soundtrack>

The book? Heart breaking. The movie? Heart shattering. And here we all are waiting-- the horrible period between when the movie is in theatres and when it's out on DVD. Thank goodness there's a book to read. But, my guess is most fans have read the pages out their copies. So, what's the next best thing? THE SOUNDTRACK. It's amazing! I'd pick a favorite, but I really love them all. The one that currently has my attention is All I Want by Kodaline. In combination with the movie they were a perfect fit and by themselves the songs are phenomenal too.

<If I Stay>

Bonus! Speaking of sad, yet wonderfully enthralling book and movie combos, the book If I Stay by Gayle Forman is going to be a movie! I *cringe* read the book because I knew that, but it was also on my "to read" list so am I actually guilty? I can't wait for it to come out in theatres (I'll have to mark it down in my new agenda, woo!).
