In the Spotlight

I was getting ready to run a few errands this late Saturday afternoon when I came across some of my favorite things of recent!   <Clean & Clear Products> I just returned from four days at UDA Dance camp, which I attend every year with my high school dance team to prepare for the long season ahead and earn a bid to nationals (goal achieved!). One of their sponsors is Clean & Clear, so I have received sample products via UDA before. I absolutely loved their Moisturizing Gel from nationals and that lead me into their range of other products. You can imagine how pleased I was to see that they had free little goodie bags containing Morning Burst Facial Scrub and Night Relaxing Face Wash . I love that there are designated products for the AM and PM. And quite honestly, I look forward to washing my face just to use them. The fun colors don't hurt either!   Not the most flattering of pictures since I couldn't smile! <Face Masks> My favor...

What It Takes to Stay Young {summer}

  via I have decided to share my tips for using fake tanner! I came up with these the other day while actually applying tanning lotion myself so I hope these will help. {My friends and I on the Fourth of July- can you guess which one I am?}   All my life, I've been a very light-skinned girl. Nicknames and various Halloween costumes have always been tethered to "Snow White" because of a fair complexion and super dark brown hair. I have never minded it-although, I prefer fair rather than pale.   But, in recent years, tanning is very prevalent in teenage girls' life. They go tanning for school dances, they tan for vacation, and they tan to go tan! I say "they" because my tanning experience is very limited. What I do know is the fake tanner. Bringing it back to the title, I believe this is the best answer to our white, ghostly problems because it's the healthiest. I've not done extensive research on the subject, but I know eno...

The Ghosts of Stay Gold

  Hello literary world! I start with you because I am here to praise upon the book The Ghosts of Ashbury High by Jaclyn Moriarty. I don't even know where to begin.   I'll start here-with a small summary. The book contains the story of five teenagers' (Lydia, Emily, Riley, Amelia, and Toby) final year at Ashbury High. Moriarty's tale comes through the impressive format of Higher School Certificate exam answers as well varying homework assignments, emails, and notes. There are ghosts, a mysterious, yet perfect couple, and a historical account of an Irish convict. That's quite the odd collection, you say. Read the book, I say! And onto my thoughts on this book. First off, I'll start by saying that I have previously read The Year of Secret Assignments , The Murder of Bindy Mackenzie , and Feeling Sorry for Celia , all of which are written by Jaclyn Moriarty and recount the stories of students at Ashbury High. You don't need to have read these ...

Titled: An Update [I had to write this now before I lose my mind.]

Long time, no blog post! Yes, I'm a corny fellow like that. Even more so now that I've said "corny fellow". Well, onto business! Although it may not be evident to my throng of current followers (called so ironically (as I have approximately two)) or to my future ones, I've been slacking on the blog. I even had a post with a similar agenda to this all written up to explain my lack of blogging. It goes somewhat like this, ·          School ·          Exams ·          Lack of motivation ·          Etc. So, there you have it. I've had a sudden spur of inspiration, most importantly motivation, and a couple ideas bouncing around my head. Also, a side note: I've just read a book (you'll see it in one of the upcoming posts). What does that have to do with anything? I'll tell you. In addition to this being a side note i...
